According to Internet Retailer’s website, “The Top 500 Guide® is the only authoritative ranking and the most comprehensive analysis of America’s 500 largest e-retailers based on annual sales on the web…the Top 500 Guide® contains the very latest competitive data on the leaders of web-based retailing, the industry’s sales growth driver.”
Market America debuted at No. 66 on list. Market America’s Web sales in 2008 were $238 million, up 3 percent from 2007. Internet Retailer also listed Market America’s launch of its entertainment site ma My World, improved site search and launch of social networking site ma Chatterbox among its achievements. In the mass merchants category, Market America was ranked No. 13 based on last year’s web sales.
