We hope everyone had a terrific Easter weekend, filled with candy, lots of fun, and family. Speaking of family, we’re growing! Just this past Friday, we launched our official Facebook and Twitter accounts for Market America Home & Garden. What makes this page unique is that it is comprised of our entire Home & Garden family – Autoworks, GlobalCare, Pethealth, PureH2O and Snap, so by liking our page or by following us on Twitter, you’ll receive updates from the entire Home & Garden family!
As business owners, we’re always looking for the next big thing that will keep us a step ahead of the competition. With the introducing of social media, a new form of media, in recent years, that step has gotten a lot longer and those not well-versed in social media, have fallen further and further behind.
Market America, a leader in the online space, is trying to help bridge that gap with the help of Distributor Recruiting Sites – sites aimed at helping you connect your business to your online identity to help create a more seamless online presence to showcase yourself, and to help improve your prospecting opportunities.

In anticipation of next week’s Launchpad event in Miami, Florida, Loren Ridinger took a few minutes to sit down for an interview with Cabrini College. She discussed the importance of branding and various ways to get your name out there (hint: she’s impartial to word of mouth) and shared a few tips of her own to budding Communications majors.
For anyone interested in learning about personal branding, this is a great opportunity to hear firsthand from Loren Ridinger, Senior Vice President of Internet retailer, Market America, creator of the cosmetics line, Motives® by Loren Ridinger and fashion icon.
Just over a month ago, Market America launched Fixx Solutions™ – instant therapy for your hair and skin. Check out a few of the testimonials that we’ve received from satisfied customers that have recently gotten their “fixx!”
Throughout our years as Independent UnFranchise Owners, we have seen product after product under-promise and over-deliver. Once again, that is the case with the Fixx line of products.
Yesterday, my Argan Oil Shampoo and Argan Oil Conditioner arrived, and I couldn’t wait to jump into the shower and use both. For the first time in years, the high humidity of southwest Florida didn’t affect my hair.
Exciting news! Loren Ridinger, Senior Vice President of Market America, will be participating in Twitchange along with good friend, Eva Longoria. If you’re unfamiliar with Twitchange, Twitchange is a celebrity Twitter auction, where winners can bid to win a follow, mention or retweet along with other great prizes – all proceeds go to CARE, a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty.
Starting next week, Market America plans on introducing “Social Media Monday,” a weekly email packed with the following information:
Recommended status updates which you can post on your favorite social networks like Facebook and Twitter
Recommended videos to watch and share
Social media tips
We’re really excited about this new business tool and hope you will be too, as it will feature some of the newest and most important content with recommended updates which you can share with your business associates and new customers. Look for this in your Inbox starting next week.
If you have additional questions about social media, don’t hesitate to email me, email@example.com.
Recently, I received a couple of tweets from Market America UnFranchise® owners asking about the proper ways to direct a custom website URL to their Market America web portal. For those unfamiliar with this practice, it is called setting up a redirect.
Basically you take a website URL. Ex: www.mybusinessname.com and set it to redirect people who visit that particular website to a new address – say your Market America web portal.
You’re probably wondering why anyone would want to do this — to have two website URL’s. For business owners, custom website URL’s are a great way to develop a cohesive branding strategy. For example, if my website address is www.mybusinessname.com, I can then develop this idea further, setting up a separate Facebook business page and a Twitter account to the effect of Facebook.com/mybusinessname and @mybusinessname for Twitter.
