Wall Street Journal explores the benefits of omega 3s

Did anyone see yesterday’s Wall Street Journal? Check out the article “Beyond the Heart, What Else Can Omega 3s Do?” in the Health & Wellness section. The article explains that while omega 3s are commonly known for their role in promoting heart health, they are also being researched for their potential role in the treatment of other conditions including Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy and rheumatoid arthritis.

Dirty Dancing Star Loses His Battle with Cancer

Patrick Swayze passed away on September 14, 2009 after a 20 month battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 57.

“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf.

His fans were saddened when his doctor released a statement in March 2008 that confirmed his diagnosis that gave him only a few weeks to live.

The actor was best known for his roles in Dirty Dancing, Road House, and Ghost.He received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role as Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing and also sang one of the songs on the soundtrack, “She’s like the Wind”. Read More
